models in the register.

This is a register of functional 3D prints — models that repair, mount, hold or replace something — submitted by the people who made them. It has no entries yet. If you made one, it can be the first.

Stage, in one line

Live, empty and untested. The pages exist and the submission route is open. Zero models are recorded. No maker has been contacted. No submission has ever arrived, so nothing here has been tested by use.

Every count on this site is computed from one data file in the site's repository, and a check refuses the deploy if a number on a page disagrees with it.

What counts as functional

A model belongs here if it does a job: repairs something broken, mounts one thing to another, holds something in place, or replaces a part that is no longer sold. Decoration, figurines and display pieces are outside the scope, however well made.

Each entry stays a short factual line and a link to wherever the maker keeps the files. The register never hosts a file that its maker did not upload here, never changes a licence, and never claims a model works without evidence attached to that row.

Where entries can come from

1. The maker submits it

Open now. The maker states the licence and hands over the entry themselves, so consent arrives with the submission rather than being assumed about it. The submission form and the grant in plain words.

2. A federated source that publishes consent per account

Designed, not built. Some 3D-printing servers on the Fediverse publish a machine-readable indexable flag per account. A row could be admitted only where that flag is true and a canonical SPDX licence identifier is present. A missing flag counts as a refusal. No ingestion code exists yet, and no federated entry is recorded. The rules that would govern it.
